No new comic this week.

Between computer downtime over the weekend, and Dave and I contracting food poisoning last night, it's just not done. In addition, I've realized that this apartment is an absolute disaster, and I need to spend some serious time cleaning it up. To illustrate, I still haven't unpacked from San Diego, and my "filing system" for bills involves random piles. I got a call from the Illinois Dept of Revenue on friday, and I was reminded of a little thing called monthly tax reports. Which I haven't done since before SD.

I need to get off my ass, and put some things in order.

I will try to put up a little preview later tonight, but there definately will not be a new strip till next monday.

Have I mentioned I'm enjoying my new tablet? I hope you're liking the results as much as I am.

In merchandising news, I got the prototype for the plush Panda today.

Apparently there were some misunderstandings between the people producing the bear, and the factory manufacturing the prototype. This resulted in a prototype both larger than intended, and not quite as close to our design as we would have liked. The size wouldn't have been a terrible issue, but there were a couple of more critical changes that need to be made. In essence, the factory looked more at the photo of the bear from San Diego than the sketches I had drawn later. So we're commissioning a second prototype. The parts they got right tell me the next one should look much better, just gotta point them straight again.

So this means having them in time for christmas is just completely out the window. It was going to be tight anyway, so this is probably for the best. If we get a finished and finalized prototype by early December we may still start preorders before christmas, but they definately will not ship until January at the earliest.

I can't wait till these things are done, but I'm not about to start up the production run till I'm satisfied they're as good as possible. I really hope that's soon :)

Some of you may have noticed the little PSP icon next to the RSS feed button, I finished up making a PSP sized version of the comic. You'll be taken to the site automatically once you visit on your PSP, so for the handful of you that may be using your PSP for browsing, rejoice! For those of you who don't, forget I said anything, it was something to do while I was stuck in VA. It's only the comic, and I don't see myself doing the rest of the site anytime soon. I'm gonna try to watch how it performs and adjust things accordingly.

Eric has about as many excuses for not doing a new comic as he has toys and other crap lying around the apartment.
