Resized for the PSP
07.31.05 11:48 AM Just a note to the few remaining AOL users out there. My emails to you will just bounce back, as I've long been on their spammer list. Just one of the perks of putting your address on your website, spammers can easily dupe it. There was a week last year where I got several pages of email, supposedly from other webcomics, advertising every notorious product under the sun. So if you have AOL, get-rid-of-it. At the very least get a Gmail account. Otherwise I can't reply to your emails. Alex, this means you. 07.28.05 09:23 PM I am currently working on Monday's strip, and attempting to do so using my ancient Aiptek tablet. I don't normally use this thing, and I'm now remembering why I don't. It's clumsy, occasionally unresponsive, and despite it's claims of button assignment possiblities, the choices are pretty weak. I want my Wacom :( According to the people at Cool Graphics, I'll be lucky to get it by the end of August. This fills me with rage. I ordered the damned thing three days into May, for shipping mid to late May. I spoke directly with someone there who told me it would actually be a bit later, namely mid to late June. Of course when I called them in VERY late June, I was told I was told "In the 30's, out of about 100", and they were getting in sets of 5-10 per week. That was a month ago now, and they now tell me I'm "About halfway down the list", and they're just now starting to ship the APRIL orders. How does that math work?!? I was fine with this when I had a clear idea of how long I was going to have to wait. Now I'm going to be extremely lucky to get it by my birthday at the end of next month. The worst thing is I had been planning to go to two strips a week by then, but that was assuming the tablet would be here when I got back from San Diego. So no rise in update schedule in the immediate future, and I've no idea when I'll actually be able to start that. So as I said, I've broken out the old Aiptek tablet. I want my Wacom. 07.25.05 11:10 AM My version of the con report is up here. The last pic is personally my favorite. 07.25.05 10:33 AM Hokay, lot's of stuff today. Most importantly, if you haven't been to Save Connecticon yet, I urge you to do so. They're in a pretty bad spot, and if you can help out even a little I think we'd all appreciate it. I have not yet been to the con myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Especially where webcomics are concerned. We had planned to go this year, but it wound up getting scheduled simultaneously with San Diego. Assuming they hold it next year, we will definately be attending. Speaking of SD, I did a little jam comic with Kyle T. and Ryan Estrada. Good luck figuring out which is who's, I don't even remember... Working on a few shirt designs this week. I'll probably put up some rough ideas next monday for your perusal. Oh, and books start shipping out today! It may take a couple days for them to all go out, but everything is theoretically labelled and ready. If you've ordered a book, you should be getting it sometime in the next week or so. If you haven't gotten it by the end of next week, let us know. Overseas may take longer, I don't know just yet. I want to thanks everyone who preordered for being so patient, and I hope you enjoy the book :)
07.28.05 10:00 AM Man, I fucking love VG Cats. All this shit about GTA is really pissing me off. So since Eric used the video camera most of the time in San Diego, we don't have shit for photos. I tried grabbing stills from it last night and they look like ass. I'll still post some stuff later. Thanks to Scott Hackman for pointing out that yesterday was Talk Like a Mad Scientist Day. I was upset to find this out late last night, so I couldn't annoy people at work with it. Oh well, still cool. On that note, July 29th is System Administrator Appreciation Day! So be sure to give you sysadmin a case of mountain dew or something. |
