Resized for the PSP
04.10.04 05:50 PM I'm pencilling Mondays strip today. Hopefully this will mean it'll be up early Monday morning proper. I'm also working on a guest strip for Real Life. Greg Dean is apparently feeling the effects of having done a daily strip for four and a half years, and he's put out the call for some filler so he can consider a week or so off. Seems fair to me. Guest strips are something I've been meaning to do for some time, I've just had enough trouble getting the regular strip done. But I seem to be ahead this week, so I figure it's time. 04.09.04 12:13 AM Forgot the link to the Clone Wars main site thingy. Just one episode to go... And I'm likin' the new site style. It's about time Steve got off his ass, he's been promising to do this for months. 04.07.04 12:00 AM I would just like to say that I was wrong. My feelings toward the new "Star Wars" films are well documented. And when I heard that the director of Samurai Jack was tackling an animated series based on said new material, I was half impressed at best. And when I was introduced to the series by walking into this episode, I was completely turned off. I can't stand Dragonball Z, and watching jedi form giant energy balls with their hands and tossing them around was just too much for me. I didn't give it another look. Much time passed... Then Mac Hall posts this link to a later episode. Still pretty ridiculous, power level-wise, but more in tune with established jedi abilities. In fact the action sequences of this series in general are more entertaining than anything in either of the new films. We waited 20 years to see jedi kick ass, only to find out their abilities are "diminished" in the films. What the hell? Apparently Cartoon Network felt the same way. It's not perfect, it's still largely fluff (as is Samurai Jack, admittedly), but it's more fun than I originally gave it credit for. It's worth a watch, and the remaining episodes should all be aired by the end of the week. Oh and speaking of Mac Hall, I couldn't agree more with Anthony's post (it's the one on the bottom). Dave Sim is an ass for many, many reasons. Just for the record I gave up on Cerebus at 200. Such a waste.
