Resized for the PSP
07.25.06 01:51 AM Back from San Diego, and very very tired. It was awesome tho, and I can't wait for next year. Gonna sleep now and finish the comic up tomorrow. 07.17.06 10:20 AM New strip is penciled, but I'm not gonna have time to finish inking it until after I get back from San Diego. So look for it wednesday of next week. I had really hoped to be ahead this time, but stuff happens and my whole schedule is now whacked. For those attending, I'll be sharing booth space with the fine people at Dayfree Press this year. We're at booth 1134, near the washrooms and concession area again, I believe. We'll be facing the Flight booth, and Penny arcade is just beyond them. The con has done a bang up job of grouping everyone again this year, and things are set to be awesome! I've got a few panels I want to catch, but I should be at the booth most of the time. I've been talking to a few other webcomic folk recently, on the subject of merchandise and the pricing thereof. When I get back from the coast, I do believe I'm going to have a sale. 07.10.06 02:24 AM For those confused, the tower is built with interdimensional architecture. The hanger is particularly riddled with it. I keep meaning to do stirps about it but I just never find the time. I just really like the idea that instead of turning on or off the lights, you shift the skylights to show a place with the corresponding amount of daylight. Too hard to work into a strip tho. Saw Pirates 2 over the weekend. Simply awesome. Unfortunately for some, you have to bring your brain and pay attention. A lot of people left the theater mumbling about unresolved plot and confusing elements. Fact is, this is not a self-contained movie. A lot of what was done in this one was obviously setup for the third and last film. It felt in a lot of ways like Kill Bill part one, and a lot of reviews are making the same mistakes with Dead Man's Chest as they did with that film. Personally I like longer stories, and they're working with a great one here. I think a lot of people just missed most of the referances to things on the side. We watched the first film literally right before the new one. In fact, we had to stop it midway through the final scene or we'd have been late for the sequel. There's a ton of things in that movie that suddenly become a lot more important when you pick up on them in the second one. Great follow-through so far, I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I'll be in San Diego for the convention on the weekend of the 20th. I'll be sharing booth space with the fine fellows of Dayfree Press, which worked out well enough last year that we're doing it again. We'll be facing the Flight booth, which is unbelievably awesome! Makes me really regret not getting to the Flight crowd in the storyline yet. They were originally going to appear around this week, but I really wanted to get to the introduction of the T.E.D. booth first. I've felt like too much of a tease lately, and I really needed to show some progress on the plot. I'm shipping this years standees down to San Diego today. They're not all mine, so you'll have to wait till after for pictures. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. This is shaping up to be a fantastic convention this year. 07.03.06 12:00 AM
