So I've started blocking out chapter 2. And one thing I realized very quickly is that I trimmed too much out of chapter 1. There's somewhere between 3-10 pages worth of material that really has to go back into the first chapter. So I'm working now on figuring out where an how to insert the material. The good news is I won't have to redraw any of the finished pages. Most of the additional scenes had to do with the events in the last 5 pages, which are still just thumbnails. A little rearranging and it should all flow together. I should know the new page count later this week, and hopefully have new page layouts done.

I apologize for the fact that this means yet another in the long series of delays, but I think it's better for the strip in the long run. And it's stuff I would have had to do anyways, just later.

It's coming, and it will be worth the wait.

It may not look like much of an update, but believe me it is. I've spent the last week or so going back and fixing all the little things left undone or done wrong in the first 21 strips. Everything from fixing wonky eyes and unfortunate color choices to re-scripting half the dialogue. I will definitely be polishing the script for chapter two a little longer than I did for chapter one.

I'm in the home stretch now, less than ten pages left. I'm hoping to finish chapter one by the end of April, and it should go up sometime in May. I still have to script out chapter two, refurbish the website, and iron out a few other things before the actual release.

But it's coming. And I seriously cannot wait to show it to you.

So it's a new year again, and SC is still not done. Not happy about that, but all I can do is throw myself back into drawing. At least I can say there has been progress, if little in the last few months. The next few pages should go by pretty quick, so I'm exited about that. Especially since once the next couple pages are done it'll be all Stone Clouds, all the time. Much as I like RP, and need it here as a bridge, these pages feel like I'm going backward. I really want to get back to drawing pirates, what can I say. In any case, I've still got quite a bit of coloring of catch up on, and some panels to redo. All in all I'm happy with chapter one, but I'll be happiest once I hit chapter two. Beginnings are a bitch.
